Once a TwiHard, always a TwiHard....

Flightless Bird?

This will be one loooooong post.

First and foremost, I am extremely ticked off right now. I was about to post a link to my blog (3 years of age) to make a reference of my post now. Apparently, Friendster blogs no longer work, and all my blog entries there are ERASED! :( Now I regret not saving copies of my entries there. Those were entries that are very important to me, and are just so memorable. And now it's GONE. Forever. Cannot be retrieved. Vanished.

Anyway, this is a blog about Twilight, so to haters out there, better not continue reading because you'll just abhor what I'll write here.

So 3 years ago, when I was still a Senior High School student, I apparently was a HUGE fan of Twilight. And I mean HUGE! All my previous blogs before were about Twilight, my notebooks were full of scribbles of quotes from the series, there isn't a day I don't talk about it, there isn't a day I take time to go to twilightguide.com, there was a point that EVERYTHING I sensed through my 5 senses I had to relate to Twilight, my mind was VERY occupied with Twilight. But, when I graduated and I began college, I was enlightened by other people regarding the poor substance of the series itself. And I slowly began to embrace it, honestly speaking. I came to a point that I actually denied that I was a fan. Yeah, somehow, the story is not that anchored into a deep plot, unlike Harry Potter is. And the vampire thing was ridiculed by a lot of people (and TV shows). So I was like, "oh ok, yeah they're right. What's there to love about it? It's too shallow". But then I watched Breaking Dawn and I was shocked that I was teary-eyed. I came to realize that once a TwiHard, will always be a TwiHard. It's hard to detach from something that you've grown to LOVE for a long period of time.

So why do I love Twilight?
♥ Edward, ofcourse - Edward is my type of guy, to be honest. White. Old-fashioned. Smart. Yeah, just my type. I just love his character. To some, he is gay. Just because he sparkles under the season doesn't mean he's gay. And just because his 'vampire' brood is poorly characterized, doesn't mean he's gay. I just love guys like Edward. Period.
♥ The Cullens  - I love them. I love their Family bond. God knows I want a family like theirs. With sisters and brothers who are just so lovable, and playful and I don't know. I just love the Cullens.
♥ Rosalie, Alice and Bella  - I just love the three. Period.
♥ Emmett, Jasper and Edward - love love love

I can probably pinpoint one reason why I love Twilight. It is because of the character of Rosalie. Only a few number of people actually like her, but I absolutely am fond of her because there are a lot of things that are the same between Rosalie and I (except the beauty.. lol). I really relate myself to her in a lot of ways. I won't delve in to the detailed explanation, but let's just say it majorly talks about our common yearning for a baby. Rose just didn't have the chance to have a child herself, and I unfortunately share the same fate with her. That's why I understand her point of actually 'disliking' Bella during the first few moments to the reason why she supported Bella in keeping Renesmee. There's just this thing between her character and myself that I just love.

So, apparently I don't know the exact words and explanations why I love them. Writing this entry, is making me a bit emotional. no SO emotional. The memories I had with Twilight was immeasurable.

You see, I had a group of friends (and still the best ones) back in HS who were pretty much addicted to the series as well (and WE were also Harry Potter addicts), and what we do day to day is that we take time to actually talk to each other about Twilight (because we weren't in one class) and doing it was the most highlighting experience of my day. And I just miss them sooooooo much! I had my own Renesmee, my Alice, my Bella, my Esme, my Emmett and my own Cullen Family.

*Sighs* This post is a big fat mess, I know. But I'm just seeking for an outlet. I'm sulking back to my past at this very moment. So toodles!

And I made a final decision to actually name my future-daughter Alysabella Rose (Alice, Bella and Rosalie). I just wish I can have one in the future :)

I can't wait for Breaking Dawn Part 2. Can't wait to see Bella be a vampire, and Renesmee being a child. :)
